Great Weather, Family......and wild animals!

So today I had a stunning family to photograph. After a weekend with nasty weather I was surprised that I woke up to beautiful weather.....couldn’t have been more perfect! When I first spoke with Heather about locations we decided to do a natural outdoors shoot. To our surprise we had more than just nature....we had tons of ants, a big skunk and a huge cow that decided she wanted to be apart of our shoot! for a min I wondered if we were shooting in a zoo! LOL Well even with all the nature surprises I had a great time with this family!

04/13/2012 Wedding....Rain Rain go away!

When I first met this wedding couple for the first time, I knew right away that I was going to have a great time photographing this couple. From the first meeting to the wedding Amy and her future Groom have been on the same page with every thing. I have been excited for months to photograph this couple on one of their happiest days of their lives......so when I woke up Friday and seen we had grey skies and lots of rain my heart dropped! I have to admit I was pretty stressed out that I wasn’t going be able to get the great shots that I had been excited for months. As usually I stress out for nothing at all.......I cant control the weather but I work with it the best that I can! Here is a sneak peek of Amy and Her new Husband Fernando. It was a pleasure to met and be a part of your big day! Enjoy!

R+JL = Baseball & Love

I had a great day in Big Bear Photographing a fun Engagement session. I love when I make a day with my couples, I feel I get to know them so much more as we get closer to their special day. Before we got our session started we had a great lunch at a Mexican restaurant call Hacienda.....(one of my favorite places to eat in Big Bear). After a great conversations and laughs of what would be a cool for a Star wars Themed wedding (yes your truly was getting her great mind going...HAHA) we left the restaurant with a full belly, ideas for a star wars themed wedding which I will get someone to do one day....ha-ha just got to scope out a bride and groom at comic con.....ha-ha ok getting off track I'll save that for another blog...ha-ha! Ok back to my bride and groom, For their session we made a bat with balls to incorporate their love and their love for baseball. I had a great time shooting at various spots in Big Bear thank you Rae & Jose for great laughs and a fun day!

My First Black Light Shoot Attempt

So one night lying in bed trying to fall asleep as usually. I had an idea to do a black light shoot. As for most of my idea’s that come to me when I need to get some beauty sleep…hahaha. From that night on I’ve been putting a few things together to try this black light thing out. The hardest part was looking for black light makeup…all though I haven’t just yet found the right makeup I decided to give this shoot a little run. So this is my first attempt to do a black light session. Please bare with me…..it was difficult to play with the lighting and I need to do some fine tuning to this type of shoot. With some more practice few more lights and better makeup I’m hoping to have this down my second time around. Below are photos from tonight’s shoot, enjoy and keep your eyes open for the next black light session!
