A Desert Wedding!

Well as a photographer there are many things we cant control and weather is one! I wish I had a magical Camera that with a click of my button the wind, rain or what ever crazy weather I come a crossed would sudden stop. I’m in the market for that magical camera but find they are very rare and hard to fine. ;) Even E-bay didn’t have one :(

As for my wedding couple.....Autumn and Josh were amazing! I had so much fun with this Happy couple. The wedding Location was at the Brides parents home, which is located in the High Desert....for many of us that know the desert also know the wind issues we come a crossed. Have to say even with the crazy wind and blowing dirt this wedding was a great one!

When I had arrived at the location, I had see the Brides parents has some old cars, trucks, tracker and a buggy! When I originally met with the bride we had decided to going to another location for formal photos.....but there was no need. I had great props right where I was.

All in all I got a happy funny couple! Two great families to photograph and a few comedy shots that we did out of good humor, Thank you Josh and Autumn for making my job fun!

Now if I can just find that Magic camera…………..

and he said he doesnt like his picture taken!

Today I had a great session with a High school senior. One of the first things that this young man had told me was that he didn’t like to get his picture taken. I find the ones that are shy in front of the camera are the most photogenic! After downloading this session and viewing the photos I was surprised to have heard that he didn’t like pictures, I don’t think this young man can take a bad photo. Well here is Travis sneak peek from his session. I have to give props to his parents for raising a nice respectable young man! He was a pleasure to have in the studio!

Round 2.....This time better weather!

So last week I had to reschedule a shoot due to bad winds. Sometimes when doing outdoor shoots you can never guess how the weather is going to work for you. Often times the cloudy, rainy looking weather works but as for wind its a no go. This couple were very good sports about doing two shoots.....this time we had great weather. When I sat down to download the images from the shoot I found myself siding with a more black and white feel. I love how black and white photography sets the mood of a photo. So I decided to make this round 2 blog all in black and white.....hope you enjoy!

Fresh And Funky Wedding Colors!

So sitting here today and thinking, I seen so many weddings and view colors, cakes and dresses! I wanted to write a blog and shares some new fresh spring and summer colors that are funky and fun! you will see below three color schemes. Now there is so many colors to choose from and I had a hard time just posting three schemes. I will more than likely be posting more of these idea blogs in the future to help give out ideas. Im asking for you to do me a favor, after view this blog please leave a comment on how you liked the colors and if this blog of inspiration has helped you with some ideas. A Day In Venice, Venice Beach!

Well where do I start, This Senior session was original going to be in San Monica Pier but with my many adventures and turn arounds we all decided to take the session to Venice Beach! I feel either location would have been great, but I have to hand it to Venice for keeping me completely entertained….LOL. The adventures started out just after we parked the car. Stepping out of the car Id had notice that I did not come prepared for cooler weather……yes I did leave my jacket at home! Thanks to my Senior I was lent a 2012 senior sweatshirt. Which I was so grateful for but turns out I realized I’m no size small anymore! However with some squirming and tugging I did get the sweater on! Now warmer…I was ready for the session to begin. The session was a full day of colorful walls, doors, sand, water, People who wanted to be a part of my session and various of aromas, I won’t comment on what kinds there was to many to pin point. We ended the session with a few sunset shoots, The day was fun but I was cold and tired and ready to get home! I have to say that with all the shoots I do, I still love to get outdoors and makes for a great day of doing what I love!

So today I attempted to do a engagement shoot, but I have to say Mother nature won this battle. Although I wasn’t happy with the weather and reschedule the shoot for hopefully a better non windy day...LOL. I did however take a few shoots.
